Dr. Varada Gokhale played a pivotal role in the success of the Annual Meeting of the Strabismus and Pediatric Ophthalmology Society of India (SPOSI), 2024. As an active member of the Local Ophthalmology Committee, she contributed significantly to organizing and hosting this prestigious national event.
In her capacity as a Scientific Committee member, Dr. Gokhale delivered two impactful talks:
- Basic Work-Up for Myopia – A practical guide on foundational evaluation techniques.
- Recent Advances in Strabismus Surgery – An update on innovative surgical approaches and outcomes.
She moderated many scientific sessions in this national conference.
Adding to the vibrancy of the conference, she served as the Quiz Master for the postgraduate quiz sponsored by Entod Pharma, engaging young ophthalmologists in an intellectually stimulating session.
Dr Varada Gokhale also served as an editor for the Indian Journal of strabismus and pediatric ophthalmology. The unveiling of this journal was done at this national conference, marking a significant milestone in the field of pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus.
